It was great to have over 500 residents stop by my first summer BBQ. The food was delicious and company even better. Councillors Don Hamilton and Karen Rea attended.

Last week the House adjourned for the summer. I’ve had the pleasure of congratulating many students on their graduation from local elementary and secondary schools.

I held a passport clinic at First Markham Place several weeks ago. If you were not able to make it and plan on travelling this summer, stop by my community office. My team will be happy to assist you in filing your application.

I was glad to see Jay and Sam open Pharmasave Upper Village Pharmacy here in Markham-Unionville. Our constituency continues to attract new investment and talent.

The Catchet Neighbourhood Association held its summer BBQ. I spoke to residents about issues that were top of mind and enjoyed some great treats!

Thank you to all the volunteers who continue to help me reach residents at their doors in Markham. We hear regularly that constituents are opposed to the Liberals’ Drug Agenda.

Residents support my proposed change to Canada’s laws, which will increase sentences for drug trafficking crimes.
Residents do not want homes in their community to turn in grow-ops with as many as 4 marijuana plants allowed per household.
Residents are alarmed the Liberal government has repealed the 26 requirements for opening a new injection site.

My message to Markham-Unionville residents is simple: I hear your voice loud and clear and will fight to keep drugs out of our community.
